cigna ask a nursePrenatals what should i do?

ok here is the deal i recently changed insurance form horrible cigna to medicaid and the thing is my obgyn gave me a prescription for prenatals but the insurance i have will not cover it so when i called the pharmacy and told them about the switch they said that the obgyn that i was seeing had to call in a different prescription but he won't because he doesn't take the insurance that i have so i have to switch once again i asked a nurse when i called to just make an appointment for next month for me because i should then have blue care insurance but until then could i go see another dr that takes that insurance she said no. i have three prenatals left. does anyone know of any over the counter prenatals?
you can take the flinstones
I just use walgreens brand prenatals. They work great. I also take a fish oil pill with them. My little girl is healthy as a horse. lol =)
Both target and walmart carry over the counter prenatal viatmins that are great, my dr said either have he exact same vitamins in them as ones she would prescribe. I've started taking them a month before I got pregnant-now 31 weeks and baby is perfectly healthy :)
Prenatals are recommended but not needed.
If you can't get any more prenatals, things should be fine without them. Although my doctor hounded me to take them, they made me nau搜刮引擎劣化us and I refused to take them for either of my pregnancies. I gave birth to healthy babies.
However, if you feel you need the extra supplemecigna ask a nursents, get some children's multi-vitamins, like Flintstones.
That doesn't make sense. I would go to the pharmacy. Dr's don't give prescriptions based off the insurance you have. Your medical card should say that pregnant women and children under 18 don't pay co-pays. I would find another dr. and just stick with that one. I never even had to get a prescription of prenatals my doctor supplied me with them all at every appointment. He would have his nurse give me a big bag everytime I told him I was low. I asked why he didn't write a prescription and he said that it was easier for me because I didn't have to waste my time going and getting them. It was like one stop shopping.
Hey. No worries, I just switched from cigna to medicaid as well. When I was TTC I used to buy my prenatals OTC. I went to the vitamin store in my mall. They also sell them at wal mart and our dollar stores. Just check around surely you can find them, Good Luck
One Source Prenatals. They sell them in Walmart and are OTC and work very well. Ive been taking them all throughout pregnancy and my baby is doing great.
I absolutely love Whole Foods 365 brand prenatals (and my doc approved it). It has a great blend that helps with digestion and nausea that standard prenatals don't have (like ginger and stuff).

My OB also reccommended Stuart Prenatal, which is over the counter. I found that, for me, it did not contain enough vitamins though.
Most HEB's have this program where you pay $5 and yocigna ask a nurseu can get a lot of different types of generic medications. They also have 3 different types of prenatal vitamins on there. If you go to the HEB they will give you a booklet with all the medications and the prenatal brands will be at the bottom. All you need to do is get your doctor to write you a prescription for one of those they have listed. Once you pay the $5 you will receive those prenatal vitamins FREE for one year! It's really a good deal. Also, they sell over the counter prenatal vitamins that you can purchase but they are a little expensive, like $30 for a months supply.
Try getting some Ovaltine, either the 'malted milk' flavor or the 拙克力 flavor and drink one or two glasses of that every day. I learned about Ovaltine when I was pregnant, because I threw up every time I tried to take a prenatal vitamin. I was reading the nutritional information on a can of Ovaltine I was buying for my sons, and saw that they're the same vitamins in the same amounts, even folic acid. You might also try taking a regular multi-vitamin and then take the other supplements to give you what you need in your prenatal vitamins. Be sure you tell the new Ob/Gyn doctor what you are doing, though, and ask if there should be any 'overlap' between your 'make-shift vitamins' and the real prenatal vitamins. Good luck, and congratulations!
